FRANCE - Part 2

This week, we are going to learn about the Tour de France. The Tour de France is a big cycling event held every summer. The Tour de France has not been cancelled this year but it is being held in the autumn instead.
The cyclists in the Tour de France race during the morning and afternoon for 21 days! The race is 3,500km long. That's like cycling the length of Ireland more than 7 times!

Once you have done the questions, you can find the answers HERE.

I had promised that we would learn all about France this year. So I have made you a booklet full of interesting information and fun facts. You can access it HERE.
You will learn about

- famous buildings
- wild animals

- pastimes
There is also some room for you to do research at the end. What can you find out about:
- homes
- food
- jobs
- French words
This is a lot of work, so don't worry, I expect it to take 2 weeks!
You could also take a virtual tour of Paris. Use the arrow buttons in the corner of the screen to look around in the video!

There is no new geography topic this week. However, Múinteoir John will be doing a lesson about the counties of Ireland On RTÉ Home School Hub on Tuesday morning. This will connect with our poem this week: The 32 Counties of Ireland.
