Big hello to all the amazing Junior Infants!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! You are all doing such a brilliant job with learning from home. This will be our last week of home learning.
A big thank you to you all for the effort's that have been made. You have all worked so hard this year.
It has been a pleasure to get to know you all, both parents and children, and I have really enjoyed this year in Junior Infants.
I am looking forward to seeing you all again in September in Warrenmount.

Story:
The Train Ride
Reading activity:
- Have a look at the front cover of the book.
- The name of a story is also called the title of a story - ask your child what is the title of this story?
- A person who writes a story is called the author…can you find the author of this book from looking at the cover
- Try playing a game of ‘I spy’ using the front cover. For e.g. ‘I spy with my eye something beginning with the sound ‘t’ - train
History:
- Try to sequence the story of “The Train Ride”
- Can you draw a picture for what happened during the beginning/ middle and end of the story?

- Our topic this week is Money
- Cracking Maths - pg. 119
- Gather any spare change you have in the house (it is a good idea to give the coins a wash before giving them to your child.) Ask your child to sort out the coins into different piles, identify the number on the coin, count how many coins in each pile.
