Below is a link to the second chapter of Harry Potter read by Noma Dumezweni, who played Hermione in the original London and Broadway cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Noma narrates Harry’s zoo trip, where it becomes clear his scar isn’t the only unusual thing about him.
Each week there'll be different characters reading a chapter, listen to the first chapter this week and complete the challenge below.
As a class I would like us to all listen to the chapter together this week and at the end complete the challenges to earn yourself some house points, Enjoy :)
Here's the link for chapter 2:

CHALLENGE
Remember your task is to collect as many house points as you can throughout the challenges I set each week. It is up to you to record them in your hourglass. Your hourglass can be any container – a bottle, a jar, a box. Every time you earn a house point, cut out a little square or circle of paper or card – colour it in with your house colour (you choose)– and then put it into your hourglass. You can email me your answers to the challenges below. Have fun!
Your first challenge after you listen to chapter 2 is to....
1. Write down which character you think is the most horrible to Harry in Chapter Two and write a short description of them.
This mini-challenge is worth 2 house points.
2. Draw Harry Potter as he is described in this chapter. Don’t forget to include the scar on his forehead...
This mini-challenge is worth 3 house points.
3. Time to be a zookeeper: In 'The Vanishing Glass', a boa constrictor escapes from its enclosure. Pretend you’re the zookeeper who looks after the snakes in the reptile house. Imagine what happened after the snake escaped (Did you help catch it? How far did it get?). Write down your thoughts.
This mini- challenge is worth 4 house points
4. Prediction time! This is where you guess what might happen later in the book. Do you think the Dursleys will always make Harry sleep in the cupboard under the stairs?
This mini-challenge is worth 1 house point.
You can complete this Quiz also when you finish the above :)

Feel free to discuss the first chapter with your friends by picking up the phone and giving them a call or any form of communication you have through apps.
